The George and Mary Rockwell Galleries of Asian Art Continuing indefinitely | ||||
| The Johnson Museum possesses one of the half-dozen finest collections of Asian art among American university museums. Although it has, for example, Persian ceramics, it is strongest in art from East and Southern Asia. The Asian collection has been built with the help of many dedicated donors, including George and Mary Rockwell, for whom the galleries are named, as well as Dr. and Mrs. Frederick Baekeland and many other Cornell alumni and friends. | ||||
