•Many Faces, Many Paths: Art of Asia

This exhibition of sacred objects from the Buddhist and Hindu cultures of Asia includes sculpture in stone, wood, metals, reliefs, masks and paintings from the first centuries C.E. to the 18th century and are on semi-permanent loan from the Bumper Development Corporation Ltd.

•Warriors: A Global Journey Through Five Centuries
Ongoing

The multicultural exhibit inclues galleries which examine hte social position and the role of the warrior; training and codes of conduct; body and spiritual armour; technology and tactics; and women as combatants. Included is an example of Japanese O-Yorori armour worn by a person of high rank, decorated with rich metal mounts in a plum-blossom motif and the family badge of the Matsumae of south Hokkaido. Parts of the helmet are 12th to 14th century while the rest is 19th century.
