•Ancient Chinese Gold Ornaments
November 11, 2000 - February 18, 2001

The exhibit consists of over four hundred pieces of ancient Chinese gold ornaments from the Shang to the Qing dynasties on display. The innovative, elaborate, and flamboyant Chinese gold ornaments are highly regarded in the history of Chinese decorative art.


•Chinese Painting and Calligraphy: Gift in Memory of Mr. Wong Siew Chan and Mr. Wong Peng Cheong
November 11, 2000 - February 4, 2001

Displaying the diversified styles in painting and calligraphy throughout the Ming dynasty, this exhibition consists of over one hundred pieces of Chinese art. The works are gifts to the museum by Diana, Richard, and John Wong in memory of their father and grandfather.

Paintings, calligraphy, ceramics, bronzes, jades, and lacquer wares from the Museum's permanent collection, exemplifying the rich traditions of Chinese art and culture, are featured.
