			Tianjin artist Song Haizeng's positive and joyful self-portraits are a celebration of life. He paints himself from unusual perspectives in eccentric poses: leaning back with an arm on the ground; bobbing with a twin under the water; with his arms out like a plane. And Song is not shy to show what people consider to be human imperfections: a receding hairline, a big belly sticking out in a speedo-swimsuit. Song's philosophy is to celebrate life, with all its faults and all its happiness, because life is too short to waste being unhappy. With Song's paintings, he lifts the "common man" out of a state of facelessness and conformity.
