•Between Complete and Incomplete: Fashion Doll "Momoko"

This exhibit introduces "Momoko," a dressable doll created by Namie Manabe from the perspective of art, and examines the meaning of "finished" and "unfinished" in art.


•When Art Becomes Art: Selections from the Hara Museum's Permanent Collection
April 20 - June 30, 2002

This exhibit examines the moment when a work actually becomes "art" through a selection of about 30 pieces from Permanent Collection, including works by Miran Fukuda, Anish Kapoor, Tadashi Kawamata, On Kawara, Yasumasa Morimura, Tokihiro Satoh, and Yukinori Yanagi.


•Michiko Miyake: Recycling Design
July 6 - September 23, 2002

This event introduces the "Lisa" series by Michiko Miyake, a creator active in the fields of art, design and craft. Miyake slices used glass bottles and embeds the glass shards into artificial marble blocks to create works that take on the appearance of beautiful, awe-inspiring wall murals.
