		June 10, 2002 Eternal Persia: A Visual Odyssey, " Layla Diba (formerly Brooklyn Museum of Art)
			This illustrated overview of Persian culture from prehistoric times to the present covered treasures from the pre-Islamic period focusing on archaeological finds from the ancient sites and royal capitals. Art from the Islamic period was explored by looking at masterpieces from international collections. Examining works ranging from the monumental to the minute, from the primitive to the sophisticated, this lecture identified the inherent qualities which impart a sense of unity and stylistic continuity to works produced over a time span of 7000 years of recorded history.
