			The goal of transcending national and ethnic boundaries and becoming “global citizens” has been beset by difficulties in economic globalization, human coexistence, cultural differences, environmental issues, the growing gap between rich and the poor, and unending warfare. Under such precarious circumstances, however, people continue to grope for their own "place" as they search for personal identity. This exhibition is composed of art of various genres – sculpture, painting, installation, photography, etc. – created by twelve artists from Australia and Japan, each of whom are striving to develop new forms of expression in contemporary society.
