Dear Readers,

Another winter has passed, and another academic year is coming to a close. While sunshine and outdoor recreation beckons, however, the spring and summer months prove to be some of the best times to visit museums. In this issue of the Newsletter, East Asian Art and Archaeology, you will find a wide variety of Asia-related exhibits, many of which I hope will strike your interest. While combing the usual list of institutions for relevant events, we have been making a special effort this year to expand our listings to include museums - both domestic and international - that may have been overlooked or forgotten in the past. In addition, due to the rapid development of the art world in Asia (particularly in China and Japan), you will find a number of listings for institutions that have only recently opened their doors to the public.

Feedback plays a critical role in the direction of the Newsletter, and we always appreciate hearing from our readers. Let us know of your interests and preferences, as well as any ideas you may have for future enhancement of this publication. And, as usual, I encourage you all to take advantage of Internet technology and visit us online. The NEAAA web page offers information and links to all of the museums cited here, as well as to many others that do not appear in this issue. Subscribers to the print edition of the Newsletter will receive free access to the most recently updated sections of the website - simply contact us to establish a username and password. Other portions, including past issues, job listings, and valuable research tools, are free to all visitors who are interested.

Thank you for your loyal support, and have a wonderful summer.
