Professor, Department of the History of Art and Interdepartmental Program in Classical Art and Archaeology. Scholarly interests include Roman sculpture and painting, the art of late antiquity and of Graeco-Roman Egypt, Roman architecture and building technology, Etruscan art, and the impact of the classical tradition in the west.
