Internships at museums or galleries can be of great benefit to students of the history of art, providing intimate contact with works of art and exposure to the many facets of the discipline. The Department is therefore prepared on a case-by-case basis to consider awarding credit for internship experience. Students hoping to receive such credit must consult with the undergraduate concentration advisor prior to undertaking the internship in order to obtain a copy of the departmental quidelines governing internship assignments. These guidelines detail the procedures that must be followed and stipulate the experiential and written requirements that must be met.
