The first floor of the Galleria dell'Accademia
in Florence houses the finest collection of Florentine panel paintings
from the 14th and 15th centuries. Opened for the first time in
June of 1985, the works may now be viewed by the public and are
available in slides from the University of Michigan Slide Distribution
Project. The set contains 150 slides of twenty full views and
details, including separate slides of the predellae. Taddeo Gaddi,
Giovanni del Biondo and Lorenzo Monaco are among the fourteen
Florentine masters whose works make up the set.
