Selected from the museum's comprehensive
collection of African Art, this set includes many exemplary pieces.
Some of the works are rare in American collections, for example,
a funeral cloth from the Annang ethnic group, and a Tabwa bellows
which was included in a major exhibition of Tabwa art at the University
of Michigan Museum of Art curated by then-director Evan Maurer
and Allen Roberts. Included in this set of forty-five slides are
ritual sculpture, secret society masks, political emblems, body
ornaments, personal items, and utilitarian objects.
This set of 45 slides sells for $112.50.
Individual slides are not available from
this set. You must buy the entire set.
