The Hip Hop and Cultural Studies Collective

Welcome to the homepage of the Hip Hop and Cultural Studies Collective (HHCSC), a student-run organization at the University of Michigan. Our primary mission is to elevate the study and appreciation of hip hop culture in academia and other communities.

We are presently organizing a conference on the theme, "The Hip-Hop Paradigm: Mapping and Transcending its Boundaries."  The conference will be held at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, during the weekend of March 23-24, 2001.  Follow the links below for more information about the Collective and our upcoming event.
