Louis

Louis Tze-Ching Yen (Leader)

Louis received his initial training in physical education in China and has both an M.S. in physical education and a Ph.D. in Kinesiology from the University of Michigan. He enjoys the cutting edge research of the Center.
Jean

Chin-Yu Chen

Chin-Yu Chen has a Ph.D from the University of Michigan. Her research concentrates on the impact of health risks on worker's productivity. She has been working at the HMRC since 1995.
Ambyr

Ambyr Godboldo-Brooks

Ambyr received her B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Michigan in 2003. In 2007, she obtained her M.A. in Sociology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, just outside of St. Louis, MO. While in St. Louis, Ambyr worked at the Center for Outcomes Research based on the campus of Saint Louis University. Her co-authored published abstracts include her work in the health care economics of kidney transplantation. Ambyr’s main interests include physical activity and exercise.
Susan Hagen

Susan Hagen

Susan earned a B.S. in chemistry and English from Wake Forest University and a M.S. in organic chemistry from Iowa State University. For twenty years she worked in preclinical research in the pharmaceutical industry, primarily focused on new antimicrobial and antiviral agents. She joined the Analytical Systems team at HMRC in 2007.
Chi-Fung

Chi-Fung Lu

Chi-Fung Lu is from Taiwan and has an M.S. in physical education from Eastern Michigan University. She has been with the HMRC since 1992 and enjoys the dynamic atmosphere of the Center.
Mary

Mary Marzec

Mary obtained her B.S. from Albion College. She acquired her Masters degree through the On-Job-On-Campus program in Clinical Research Design and Statistical Analysis offered by the Department of Biostatistics here at the University of Michigan. Prior to joining HMRC in 2005, Mary worked as a Research Associate in sleep research. Her long time interests are in disease management and prevention through proactive lifestyle habits.
Chih-Wen

Chih-Wen Pai

Chih-Wen obtained her Ph.D. from Virginia Commonwealth University and M.S.P.H. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to joining HMRC in 2006, she worked at the University of Michigan Medical School as Research Associate for four years.
Alyssa

Alyssa Schultz

Alyssa obtained her B.S. in exercise physiology from Northern Michigan University and an M.S. from the University of Michigan School of Kinesiology. She is currently working on her Ph.D. in Kinesiology here at the University of Michigan. She has been at the Center since 1995 and works on publications and the HMRC website.
Sudhakar

Sudhakar Sathyanarayanan

Sudhakar is from India and has background knowledge in Transportation Engineering. He holds a Masters degree from the Kansas State University and a PhD from the Pennsylvania State University. In his academic experiences as a research assistant, he had developed skills on working with data and database systems for conducting data analyses using various modeling techniques. He joined the center in December 2008.
Feifei

Feifei Wang

Feifei received her Ph.D. in 2002 from the School of Kinesiology at the University of Michigan. Her research interests are health behavior risks, diseases and associated healthcare costs with advanced statistical analyses and data mining techniques. Feifei has been with the HMRC since 2000.

Doug Wright

Doug received his Ph.D. from the University of Arkansas and his M.S. from Michigan State University. Prior to joining the HMRC in 2000, Doug worked in the pharmaceutical industry for seven years as a statistical analyst and consultant.
