Bishop of the Diocese of Wloclawek since 1992 and Professor of Philosophy
at the Catholic University of Lublin since 1981, Bronislaw Dembowski (b.
1927) participated in the Round Table negotiations as an observer for the
Catholic Church. He studied philosophy at the University of Warsaw and the
Catholic University of Lublin, where he received a Ph.D. in 1961, and at
Warsaw's Theological Seminary, where he taught from 1970 to 1992. A member
of the International Catholic Council for Charismatic Revival and the
Polish Episcopate's Commission for Catholic Education, Missionaries, and
Priesthood, Bishop Dembowski has published extensively on religion and
philosophy.
