All book order and customer service responsibilities are handled by our Publications Program at the address and telephone number below: Center for Japanese Studies-Publications Program DISCOUNTS: Discounts are available to wholesalers and bookstores who agree to pay our postage and handling fees. Our discount is 20%. RETURNS: The Center for Japanese Studies DOES NOT ACCEPT RETURNS of overstocked books. Please write for permission to return books received in damaged condition. STANDING ORDERS: We no longer accept standing orders for our series. Please order individual titles as they become available. EXAMINATION AND DESK COPIES: Examination copies will be invoiced at list price plus postage; a cancellation of the invoice will be processed when an order of 15 or more books is placed. Upon request, one desk copy will be sent for each 15 copies of a single title ordered, with a five-copy limit. POSTAGE AND HANDLING: Postage and handling fees on domestic orders are $7.00 (except Engendering Faith, which is $10.00) for the first book in each order and $1.50 for each additional book. Domestic orders will be shipped UPS Ground. Second Day Air and Next Day Air are available upon request and will be charged at the prevailing rate plus a handling fee. Postage and handling on foreign orders are charged on a per order basis. All foreign orders will be shipped Priority Mail International. SURFACE MAIL NO LONGER EXISTS. All foreign orders must be prepaid with a credit card. Special shipments are available on request and will be charged the prevailing rate plus a handling fee. PAYMENT: All individual orders require prepayment. Payment should be made to Center for Japanese Studies by check or money order in U.S. funds drawn from a U.S. bank.
