The Institute for Research on Women and Gender invites applications for Visiting Scholar positions from post-doctoral scholars and researchers whose work focuses on women or gender. The goal of the Visiting Scholar program is to enhance disciplinary and interdisciplinary scholarship on women and gender at the University of Michigan. Visiting Scholars will have full access to the Institute’s community, and will be automatically affiliated with the Women’s Studies Program. Appointments may be requested for summer, fall or winter terms, or for an entire academic year. Appointments will be awarded based on a fit between the candidate’s interests and those of faculty, scholars and researchers currently affiliated with the Institute, and will be subject to space availability. Applications should include a cover letter describing your research interests, the project(s) you would pursue while at the Institute, a curriculum vita, and the names and contact information for three references. Also, please identify any faculty, scholars or researchers currently at the University of Michigan with whom you are planning to work, or whose work is in your area. Applications for the next academic year are reviewed on a rolling basis, and must be received by December 1 of the previous year. Applications should be sent to:
