Diwali Bash 2007
On November 9, 2007, the Great Lakes Room at the Palmer Commons was decked up in gold and red setting a festive tone for the Diwali bash. ISA members performed in the cultural show which had music, mimicry, dance, and drama which were well appreciated by the audience. The lavish dinner buffet from Temptations, an Indian restaurant from Ann Arbor was one of the high points of the evening. A dance party followed the dinner which had the ISA members swaying to Bollywood music and Desi rap. ISA thanks all its members and volunteers for making the Diwali bash a very memorable one. ISA Republic Day 2007
Here are the pictures from the ISA's 58th Republic Day Celebrations held on 26th January 2007. The event began with the flag hoisting which was followed by the national anthem. These were followed by a short speech by the chief guest Prof. Arun Agrawal (Associate Professor, School of Natural Resources and the Environment) and the distribution of sweets. There was a decent gathering in spite of the frigid weather conditions.
