The ITD Project Tracking System (PTS)

ITD Project Tracking System (PTS) was introduced in January, 1996; its use is now mandatory for all ITD staff. (Information about the PTS that used to be on this page has been moved to Backstage, ITD's Intranet.

ITD Role Postings

Posted_roles contains a listing of all internal ITD Job ("role") assignment postings since last July. (Beware: this file is over 100K. We are reworking this system, but for now it is one big file with all postings since July). To apply for any of these positions send an email message to "itd.roles@umich.edu", or fax material to ITD.ROLES at 763-4434. You will speed the processing of your request by including a resume and/or cover letter, though these are not required for an initial indication of interest.

Work Planning Documents

If you have Microsoft Word on the machine you are reading from and your Web Browser is capable of running Word, then you can click on any of the following.

• Work Planning Template. What you actually edit to make your work plan.
• Work Planning Documents. 18 pages of instruction on how to prepare your work plan, including roles for staff, team leaders, etc. October 1995.
• VAR Definitions: Value Added Responsibilites as used in the Work Planning Documents (definition and examples). Revised Oct 3, 1996.
• Focus Group Reports contains the results of a series of Focus Groups held on the ITD Work Planning and Performance Review processes in September and October 1996.
• A Guide to Using the Individual Work Planning Instrument. 1994.

You can also find instructions for Getting those documents via IFS, FTP, or Banyan . Or, if you would like paper copies of the Work Planning documents, you may obtain them from your PDM, or request them from ITD Human Resources at 3-2929 or at itd.hr@umich.edu.

Interested in even more Work Planning instruction? Extensive materials were written up for the 1993-1994 rollout from the Work Planning Task Force. These materials (including example work plans, and materials on Group Work Planning) are available only via Appletalk from:

By now you should have registered for The Next Step in Customer Satisfaction , which will give instructions on the "Measurement (Quality Indicators)" section of the 1995-1996 individual Work Plan. If you did not attend, contact your PDM: A videotape is available.

Staff

ITD's new Executive Director is Jose-Marie Griffiths, who came to ITD from The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Information Infrastructure at the University of Tennesee.
