Continuous Improvement

The principle of pursuing continuous improvement is a key principle in implementing a Quality program.

In the act of pursuing continuous improvement, processes are studied, trial improvements are tested and successful changes are adopted where appropriate.

This is often represented as the P-D-C-A Cycle, or the cycle of Plan Do Check Act.

We continue to discover that it is better to get started and make some measure of improvement than to get caught up in the search for the perfect solution. Significant change for the better is, in many instances, the cumulative effect of many small improvements.
