Who We Are

We are a community of college students who have come to follow Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We come from many different church, family, and ethnic backgrounds but we unite to glorify God by sharing our faith in Christ, helping one another grow, and proclaiming the good news of the Gospel to all the people around us. We are a trans-denomination, student-led organization, and we are now in our 60th year at the University of Michigan.

What We Believe

We believe in the God of the Christian Bible, and everything that comes with that. For a fairly concise summary of our Christian beliefs, please read our doctrinal statement. We believe these statements to be universal truth because we have begun to understand the glory of God's character and sovereignty with our minds, we have come to know Him personally, and we have experienced the grace of Jesus Christ and the working of the Holy Spirit in our lives. In response to these wonderful truths, it is only natural that we would desire to bring glory to God in every way that we can. This is our primary purpose, not only for InterVarsity, but for our whole lives at the University and beyond.

If you would like more information on our beliefs, or if you would like to meet this Jesus, then please don't hesitate to talk with us. We frequently sponsor small group discussions where you can sit down with friends and investigate the claims of the Bible. We encourage you to ask those hard questions, because the truth of the gospel is real. We would love to talk with you, so please contact us online or talk to any of our members.

What We Do

Check out the Events & Activites section of this web site to learn more about our planned events. In addition to these, we periodically have retreats and training events. You don't want to miss out on those! Other planned events include service projects, social gatherings, parties, cook-outs, and cultural exchanges. Additionally, people frequently get together just to infomally hang out, watch movies, go to football games, or study.
