We are Greek InterVarsity, and we are part of a national ministry specifically designed for Greek students. We are a Christian group for Greeks, by Greeks, and to Greeks! At the University of Michigan, we have students who meet together for friendship, growth in their Christian faith, and encouragement for doing a ministry in their houses. Ever thought about leading a Bible study in your fraternity or sorority? We can help you! We help students who want to know how it works to be a Greek and a Christian during college. If you are interested in connecting with us, please contact Laura Sapp (734-223-1683) or Sean Torrez, both Greek alumni from DePauw University and MIT, respectively.
The other big news is that we want to get the word out about Greek InterVarsity’s annual Greek Conference. It is January 30 to February 1, 2009 in Indianapolis
Greek Conference is a place where hundreds of Greeks gather for one weekend to discuss real-life issues: to be challenged and encouraged by other Greek students, to get practical tools for living in the Greek system and to learn what it means to integrate the Christian faith into your everyday Greek experience. Oh yeah, and we also want to have some fun!
The question should be what doesn’t happen at Greek Conference! We’ll have an inspiring and empowering keynote speaker, in depth training and personal development in concentrations, live music, caffeine close by, a dance party, student’s sharing their stories, videos, bookstore, time to hang with others from your campus, time to meet other Greeks, and SO MUCH MORE!!!
