WHAT’S COLIN DOING RIGHT NOW?

9/2/2001: Colin tells me that Shadowland, the fourth volume in the Spider World series, should be published by Hampton Roads in the autumn of 2002.  They are also planning to reissue the first three volumes in the series next year.

The paperback edition of Atlantis Blueprint is currently being released in the United Kingdom.  Colin is considering postponing his next Atlantis book to instead write a new autobiography.  Colin’s previous autobiography, Voyage to a Beginning, was published in 1969, and he now refers to it as his “preliminary autobiography.”  In addition to bringing his life story up-to-date, Colin also hopes to devote more attention in the new book to accounts of the people he has known over the years…a list of which would encompass many of the most significant thinkers and artists of the past half-century.

Additionally, as many of our British visitors undoubtedly already know, Colin writes occasional pieces on crime and/or the paranormal for the Daily Mail. Some of his most recent articles have dealt with Ian Brady, possession and the evidence for afterlife.

Colin spent his birthday last June giving two lectures at the College of Psychic Studies in South Kensington.  A week later he attended a symposium on crime and the novel in the south of France.  His next scheduled public appearance will be at the Prophets’ Conference in Florida, in November (I will provide details as soon as I hear more).

Colin Stanley of Pauper’s Press has also just issued a new book: Colin Wilson as Mystic by Vaughan Robertson (also available from Maurice Bassett in the U.S.). Follow the link to find out more!

8/26/2001: At the moment, Colin Wilson is writing the long-awaited fourth volume of his popular Spider World series, which he left unfinished a decade ago.  It’s to be called Shadowland and should be published sometime next year.  After that he’s planning to write another book on the subject of Atlantis, incorporating material that didn’t make it into The Atlantis Blueprint.  This autumn will also see the publication of the serial killer Ian Brady’s book, The Gates of Janus, which he wrote with Colin’s encouragement. The book is to be released in both the U.S. and the U.K. by Feral House Publishing, and it will include an introduction by Colin.
