Cross-language Speech Perception Page

The files listed below are from my dissertation, a cross-language speech perception study concerning the perception of non-native nasal consonants varying in place of articulation. The file list below includes a poster I presented at the 133rd Meeting of the Acoustical Society of America, and some sound files related to it. I'd be happy to field any specific questions you have concerning the poster (email jharns@umich.edu). Also, if any of these files are in a format that you are having troubles with, let me know.
The perception tests for the most part were conducted in India, in sound-attenuated chambers, in three cities: New Delhi, Amritsar, and Calcutta. Amritsar is a city in the Punjab province in northwestern India, close to the border with Pakistan. The photo to the left was taken in Amritsar, at Har Mandir Sahib, the Golden Temple, the holiest site within Sikhism. I am standing on the right, Jasmeet Judge is on the left. The temple is surrounded by a pool of water, a sarovar, with only a single walkway (the Guru's Bridge) connecting it to the rest of the temple complex.
