Creating your cover letter and resume

  • See the links listed under Manage Resumes for instructions on how to Upload, Create or Edit your stored resume(s).
  • Uploading your resume as a Microsoft Word document is the recommended method and will allow hiring managers to receive and view your resume in its original format.
  • When applying for jobs, you may only attach one document for each job that you apply for.
  • To include a Cover Letter, combine the cover letter and your resume into one document .
  • Save as many versions of your cover letter/resume to your home page as you like, adapting and cutting and pasting as necessary for different postings, but attach only one for each job applied for.
  • The following document types are acceptable:
    • doc (Document file created with Microsoft Word)
    • .txt (Plain Text file)
    • .html (Web page)

Please note: Some versions of Microsoft Word create .rtf (Rich Text Format) documents. These are not compatible with our system and do not transfer properly.
