Sunday you're welcome to join us for a relaxed day of juggling outdoors on the diag (map).
The Diag is a large, grassy, tree-shaded quadrangle in the middle of the University of Michigan Central Campus. It's located about 200 yards south of the Burton Memorial Tower, an 8-story Bell Tower which is visible from many points around town. The Diag is located just east of State Street and just north of South University Street, about 2 miles north of the I-94/State Street Exit (Exit 177), but you can't really see it from those streets because it's surrounded by academic buildings. We usually juggle on the northeast side of the Diag where there's more shade and open space. (The Diag is about 2 blocks west of the Church Street Parking Structure.)
This is our rain location for Sunday. (map).
From State Street: Find the intersection of State Street and South University. These two streets meet in front of the Michigan Union, about 2 miles north of the I-94/State Street Exit (Exit 177). From State Street, head east on South University Street for three or four blocks to Church Street. Turn left; East Hall is located on the west side of Church Street, just north of South University Street. (East Hall is approximately 2 blocks east of the Diag.) If conditions are not suitable for juggling on the Diag, we will be in East Hall in the South Atrium. We recommend that you park in the Church Street Parking Structure, directly across the street from East Hall.
For the diag or East Hall, we recommend that you park in the Church Street Parking Structure, directly across the street from East Hall. You can park there for free on Sundays, although you may not park on the first level. The Diag is about 2 blocks west of the Church Street Parking Structure.
