HISTORIC TEXTILES FROM EGYPT
A VIRTUAL GALLERY
The Kelsey Museum of Archaeology, of the University of Michigan, possesses an extensive collection of Egyptian textiles from the Pharaonic, Roman and Byzantine, and later Islamic periods of Egypt's pre-modern history. Several on-going research projects are focused on the textile collection, however this page has been created to allow access to recent exhibitions at the Museum. Later versions will provide information on various aspects of the collection and the research projects devoted to it.
