Resources - Course Sets and Mini Sets
The LRC will provide duplication of supplementary audio and video material that accompany course textbooks. We can make it available to students to borrow for use in the main center, or to purchase (with permission of copyright holder). Material formats that we deal with are:
- analog video (VHS)
- analog and digital audio (audio cassette, audio CD, MP3)

The LRC maintains and extensive media library for instructional support. Most reservation transactions for video use in class can be done via the web.

Resources - Foreign Language Television
More Information
Programming is broadcast over UMTV. Watch it in the main center, or at
your favorite UMTV location on channels 4,9, and 12. You may also request
programs to be recorded for instructional use.

The Center for Research on Learning and Teaching (CRLT)
administers a number of grants for the university community.

(DRDA)facilitates the identification, submission and administration of

Facilities - Video Viewing Room (VVR)
The LRC offers instructors use of our video screening room. We support
all video formats and regions. The room seats 30 comfortably. Requests
are granted first come/first serve, so be sure to reserve in advance!

Facilities - Computer Classrooms
The LRC maintains two 27 station computer classrooms (one Mac, one Windows)
adjacent to the open computing facilities in the main center. Instructors
are welcome to reserve either of the LRC computer classrooms for individual
class sessions on a first come first serve basis.

*Advanced notice is required for all reservations.
Facilities - Work/Group Meeting Space
The LRC has 3 separate alcoves for semi-private group meetings. Each alcove is outfitted with a dry-erase board, table, chairs, and a computer station. Hold your office hours or study sessions here! As this space is used on a walk-in basis, you should make arrangements in advance to reserve it for your activities.

Facilities - Faculty Development Stations
The LRC provides space and equipment for language instructors to do their
own media production. Capacity includes digitizing of audio and video
material as well as scanning images and optical character recognition
(OCR).

Services - Large Audience Screenings (FPS)
Need to show a larger audience a video on large screen? If your class is 50 students or more, we can arrange a auditorium showing. Showings are outside of the normal class meeting time, typically in the evening, or on Sunday. Please contact us with your request well in advance to allow sufficient time to make the necessary arrangements.
