by Mark Deprest

The Moon, Mars, Saturn and Jupiter

Photograph taken by Mark Deprest on March 8, 2000. A two day old moon gathered together with Mars, Saturn and Jupiter in Mark’s front yard. From left to right is the Moon, Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars. He captured this on 200 speed Fuji Color Superia print film and his Pentax manual focus 35mm camera riding piggy-back on his 5” f/5 refractor. Exposure time was about 5 to 7 seconds with a 150mm telephoto lens at f/5.6. The prints were scanned and sharpen using Thumbs plus 4.0 by Cerious Software.
