Lambda Banquet

April 2002 marked the inaugural year for the Lambda Theta Alpha (Michigan Area 1) and Lambda Theta Phi (Michigan Sector) "Lambda Banquet." Sisters and brothers worked diligently throughout the school year to plan for this extravagent semi-formal event highlighting the accomplishments of our Lambda Family. Graduating sisters and brothers as well as new sisters and brothers were recognized with awards celebrating their achievements. The event was held in the Michigan Union Ballroom on April 6, 2002. The night included remarks from our keynote speakers, Augustin Garcia (Lambda Theta Phi Founding Father) and Claudia Barrera (Lambda Theta Alpha NALFO Representative), as well as a sit-down dinner. The evening was capped off with the afterparty held at The Cave Nightclub. The night proved to a memorable event for all sisters, brothers, faculty, chapter advisors and dates in attendance. The Michigan LAMBDA BANQUET won a national award for "Social Programming Event of the Year" at the National Latino Greek Awards Gala. :)
