Martha Cook Building Board of Governors
Email: mcbgovernors@umich.edu
The Board of Governors, appointed by the President of the University of Michigan and responsible to the Regents of the University, sets policy for the management of the Martha Cook Building (MCB) and its staff and approves the Building’s budget and expenses. The Building Bylaws also charge the Governors to maintain and foster an environment of congenial living and growth for Building residents and to maintain the traditions of MCB and the historic Building itself. The Governors hold regular meetings at the Building, meet with residents and Alumnae, and attend and host Alumnae events.
Created by a resolution of the Regents in February 1915, the three to five member Board is traditionally composed of Alumnae of the Building or members of the Cook family. Members may serve 2 three-year terms.
