International Mission Trips
Plans
for International Mission Trips are under consideration.
When more information is available, it will be uploaded here.
WHEN:
TBA
WHO:
We hope
to take a small team of graduate students involved with MCGrads. CCC
staff members may serve as team leaders. The MCGrads team, once in-country,
may join with a national
Campus Crusade for Christ team (made up of national and American staff)
there.
WHERE:
TBA
WHAT:
Over the
years, a number of one-week mission trips from the U.S. have been made
internationally and resulted in life-changing experiences for
university students. A number of student leaders have come to Christ as
a result of their interaction with the visiting Americans. Typical
activities for mission team members may include conducting
conversational English workshops, speaking in university classrooms in their academic areas of expertise
to create interest and open further opportunities for meeting university
students, and participating in cultural exchange events, where one can not only share about life
in the U.S. and as a university student, but also share personal testimonies
and faith in Christ. Many Nationals speak some English, so activities
will usually not be dependent upon translators.
MINISTRY TRAINING:
We will provide some training for the MCGrads students on the team prior
to the trip. Training will include things like cultural sensitivity, how to share
the gospel, some basic follow-up content, how to communicate your personal
testimony, and other ministry skills.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
If you are interested in being a part of such a Mission Trip, please email
us at mcgrads@umich.edu. It
will be an immense help to us for planning, to know who is interested.
