Made from plastic, fishing line and string this piece is a poetic visualization inspired by string theory. Ellen Wilt is a Professor Emeritus at Eastern Michigan University, Robin Wilt is artist and art teacher in the Ann Arbor public schools. Both Ellen and Robin are alumni of the School of Art & Design. Jeffrey Rausch is a Professor of Mathematics and has been on UM faculty since 1971. His main research interest is the partial differential equations modeling the propagation of waves.
