Airport Information:

Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW, aka Metro-Wayne County) is the closest airport servicing all major airline carriers domestically and internationally. It is located approximately 25 miles east of Ann Arbor.

Taxis, shuttles, and rental car agencies are available. All forms of transportation accept cash or credit cards. Driving time to Ann Arbor from the Detroit Metro Airport is approximately 30-40 minutes assuming no traffic hold-ups.

SHUTTLE SERVICES (shared ride)

Ann Arbor Metro
provides both cab service and shuttle service to and from the DTW airport from Ann Arbor. Ann Arbor Metro can be reached at (734) 507-9220. Cab service along with the shuttle service is door-to-door service. This is the least expensive route that we are able to find. The cost for the cab service one-way is $30 plus tip. The cost for the shared shuttle service (small van) one-way is also $30 plus tip. The shuttle service picks you up about 15-30 minutes sooner than you would be if you were to use their cab service.
Custom Transit provides transportation between the airport and Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti areas. Custom Transit can be reached at (734)971-5555. The cost for this shared ride shuttle service is $22 per person per one-way trip. Please allow 1-hour of travel time before you reach Detroit Metro Airport and a 15-minute pick-up window. Parking Information:

Parking on central campus of the University can be difficult and scarce. Public parking is located in the Forest Ave structure, Fletcher Street structure, Palmer Drive structure or the Maynard Street structure. The rate is $1.10/hour with a 24 hour limit. These parking structures are shown on the map of central campus above. They are indicated with a "V" for visitor parking.

Also, metered parking is another option but is usually limited to 2 hour parking at one given time.

Please note: Sundays parking is free everywhere University and City wide.
