Larryfest is a conference in honor of the contributions of Larry Sklar to the philosophical understanding of physics.
Larry Sklar is the Carl G. Hempel and William K. Frankena Distinguished University
Professor at the University of Michigan, where he has taught since 1968. Sklar delivered the Locke lectures in 1998. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and has been President of the Philosophy of Science Association and of the American Philosophical Association (Central Division). He is a recipient of the Lakatos Award and the Matchette Prize.
He is the author of many articles and of several books, including Space, Time and Spacetime, Philosophy and Spacetime Physics, Philosophy of Physics, Physics and Chance, and Theory and Truth.
