REPEAT!  Second Half Comeback Secures Second Straight Title

5/16/09

David Rogers (left) scored his first career hat trick with all three goals coming in the midst of a second half comeback that gave Michigan a 12-11 victory over Chapman in MCLA championship game in Denver.  The win gave the Wolverines their second straight undefeated season and 40 consecutive victories.

 

Paul Honored as LaxMag Coach of the Year

5/16/09 -- Michigan head coach John Paul (left) won the inaugural MCLA the LaxMag Division 1 Coach of the Year Award today.  Paul's Wolverines are undefeated for the second straight season and will play tonight against Chapman in the MCLA national championship game.  Michigan set a new MCLA record for consecutive victories when they won their 34th game in a row earlier this season.

 

Wolverines Beat Colorado to Reach Final

5/15/09 -- Riley Kearns scored his second straight hat trick and eleven Wolverines scored goals in Michigan's 17-7 win over Colorado in the MCLA semifinals at Dick's Sporting Goods Stadium in Denver tonight.  The story of the game was Michigan's ride, which held the Buffalos to 8 of 24 clearing.  The win sets up a Saturday night rematch of the 2008 championship game against Chapman.

 

Michigan Blitzes Sonoma to Advance

5/13/09 -- David Reinhard (left) won 16 of 19 faceoffs, and Trevor Yealy got back on track with five goals to lead #1 Michigan to a dominating 22-6 over #9 Sonoma State in the MCLA Quarterfinals tonight in Denver.  The Wolverines jumped all over the Seawolves and led 8-2 after a quarter and 17-4 at the half.  Michigan faces #5 Colorado in the MCLA Semifinals on Friday.
