Gal, Hanna, Lombardi
Named Tri-Captains for '04
ANN ARBOR, MICH. -- The University of
Michigan men's lacrosse team has selected the three captains that will
represent the team throughout the upcoming season. Justin Gal
(Amherst, Mass./Milton Academy), Jeff Hanna (Fayetteville,
N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius)), and Ray Lombardi (Lake
Forest, Ill./Lake Forest), all of whom earned conference honors last
season, were elected by their fellow teammates.
Hanna, a senior attackman, scored 39 goals and
added nine assists for 48 points last season and was named to the All-CCLA
Second Team. Gal, a senior midfielder who also earned second team All-CCLA
honors, scored 10 goals and tallied nine assists for 19 total points.
Lombardi, a senior attackman who earned all conference honorable mention
last season, netted 22 goals along with 16 assists for 38 total points.
The team will continue with conditioning until
practice resumes in January. The regular season begins February 13 at
5:00 p.m. with a three-way scrimmage against Kenyon and Wooster in
Oosterbaan Fieldhouse.
