Wolverines Move up to #4 in Latest USL MDIA Top-25 Poll
Ann Arbor, Mich. – The University of Michigan men's lacrosse team
climbed one spot in the latest USL MDIA Top-25 Poll presented by
Shamrock, from #5 to #4 today. Since the last poll released two
weeks ago the Wolverines have recorded lopsided victories over #24 Miami
and #8 Oakland, as well as Central Michigan and Indiana. Last
Friday's final home game, against Central Michigan, was the team's 10th
win in a row. Michigan's lone remaining regular season game is
this Saturday against #23 Michigan State at East Grand Rapids High
School. The neutral site rivalry game drew almost 5,000 fans last
year, making it the largest crowd to ever watch a college lacrosse game
in the state. The Spartans entered the poll for the first time
this season today at #23 after going undefeated in their first ten
games. They suffered their first loss last night to Oakland, after
the voting for this poll had taken place.
In the latest poll Michigan leapfrogged last year's national champion
UCSB, who fell to #5. Still ahead of the Wolverines are #1
Colorado State, #2 Sonoma State and #3 Brigham Young, a team that handed
Michigan their only MDIA loss of the season 7-6 in Provo, Utah back in
early March.

final regular season poll will be released on Monday, May 2 at uslia.com.
