Wolverines to Hold Open Tryouts

August 18, 2009

Ann Arbor, Michigan - Coming off of back-to-back undefeated national championship seasons, the Michigan men's lacrosse team will be conducting open tryouts beginning Monday, September 14 at 7:00 p.m.  Tryouts will begin with one night of practice for all new players (recruits, transfers and potential walk-ons), after which an initial cut will be made.  This will be followed by practices throughout the week combining all remaining new players and returning players, with final cuts being made by the end of the week.

All interested players must attend an informational meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10 at Oosterbaan Fieldhouse.  There will be no physical activity at the meeting.  Bring a pen.

Potential players must be enrolled as full-time students at Michigan and must have MCLA eligibility remaining.  They will be responsible for all of their own equipment throughout tryouts.  No team equipment will be handed out until the final roster is set.  Reversible practice jerseys will be provided.

Interested players should thoroughly read through the Information section on the team website.  They should also contact Coach Paul to get a copy of conditioning tests that will be administered.
