Brad Gigliotti
Assistant Coach (6th season)

 

Gigliotti is in his sixth year on the Michigan lacrosse staff.  He oversees all aspects of developing the Michigan goalies.  His intensity is particularly suited to his other job of running the substitution box during games.  He also serves as a recruiter for the program.  In addition, he is the director of Michigan's summer Goalie Camp.  He works a variety of camps on other campuses over the summer, including camps at Hobart and Notre Dame.

 

Gigliotti started at Michigan the same year that Dan Webber took over the starting position in goal.  Under Gigliotti's tutorage Webber developed into a 1st-Team All-American by his senior campaign. 

 

Gigliotti was a two year starter in goal at Alfred University where he earned super six honors.  He played his high school lacrosse at Brother Rice in Michigan where he was 1st-Team All-Midwest when the Warriors won the Midwest Championship in 1995.

 

Gigliotti came to Michigan from Troy High School, where he had been an assistant coach for lacrosse and hockey.  He has also assisted at Seaholm High School and Brother Rice High School.  He is currently playing goalie for the Motor City Lacrosse Club.

 

Gigliotti enjoys hockey and golf in his spare time (his father was the General Chairman of the 2004 Ryder Cup at Oakland Hills).  He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Alfred in 2000 and he recently completed a teaching degree in Physical Education at Wayne State University.  Gigliotti is engaged and resides in Royal Oak.
