General: Played midfield in high school, but switched to defense in college...  played at Michigan head coach John Paul's alma mater, Pioneer high school...  very good footwork and good speed and clearing ability...  plays with a mean streak...  imposing size at 6' 5"...  has become Michigan's top defenseman...  changed number from 42 to 46 before sophomore season...  also recruited by Michigan's highly ranked wrestling program.

Junior - 2008:

Sophomore - 2007: Played in 18 games, starting 17...   Scooped up 44 groundballs with career highs (5) vs. Florida (Feb. 25) and Florida State (Feb. 28)...   Recorded eight groundballs during two CCLA Conference Tournament games vs. Central Michigan (May 5) and Michigan State (May 6). 

Freshman - 2006: Played in 2 games.

Prep: Played for Darren Millman at Pioneer High School... Co-Captain with fellow Michigan lacrosse freshman Peter Vasher as a senior... First Team All-Area... Co-Midfield MVP as a senior (along with Vasher)... Also lettered four years in wrestling where he was a captain... Wrestled at 189 and finished 4th in the state as a junior and 2nd in the state as a senior, losing only once - in the state final.

Personal: Parents are Bill and Betsy Petoskey...  father, Bill, wrestled at Michigan...  born December 9, 1986...  enrolled in the College of Literature, Science and the Arts...  majoring in Biology.
