MEO:

The Major Events Office (MEO) is part of the Division of Student Affairs at the University of Michigan, University Unions Arts and Programs, Ann Arbor. MEO, in conjunction with other University Departments and UM Student Organizations,  provides cultural programs and entertainment for University students, faculty, staff and the Ann Arbor Community. Each season is a composite of musical and artistic presentations. Our mission is to serve the University as a resource for the incorporation of performing arts and cultural events in co-curricular education for the aesthetic and cultural development of our students and the University Community.

The Major Events Office produces a wide array of events. Ani DiFranco, Violent Femmes, The Annual Ann Arbor Folk Festival, and Elton John are just a few of the events that we presented over the past few school years. In addition, we have worked with University Departments and Student Organizations to provide programming such as San Francisco Mime Troupe (Dialogues on Diversity),  A Slice of Rice, Frijoles and Greens (Multi-Ethnic Student Affairs), Ellen DeGeneres (University Activities Center), and Wyclef Jean (Greek Week and Hillel).  Check out past events:
