- About:
- University Health Service clinicians provide medical management of common mental health issues.
- UHS clinicians provide:
- Evaluation of anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and sleep disorders
- Treatment options, including medications
- Medical management for confirmed diagnoses of attention deficit disorder (ADD) and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
- Prescription renewals with standard medication regimens for conditions such as stable depression or anxiety, for patients who no longer need counseling
- Referral to UHS psychiatrist for consultation (access available only for students, with a UHS referrel) or to Counseling and Psychological Services (or other appropriate resource) for counseling
- It is recommended that students and other patients make an appointment with a UHS clinician and continue to see him/her. Although patients may change clinicians at any time, seeing the same clinician allows patients to develop a relationship and helps ensure quality care.
