About:
University Health Service clinicians provide medical management of common mental health issues.
UHS clinicians provide:
Evaluation of anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and sleep disorders
Treatment options, including medications
Medical management for confirmed diagnoses of attention deficit disorder (ADD) and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
Prescription renewals with standard medication regimens for conditions such as stable depression or anxiety, for patients who no longer need counseling
Referral to UHS psychiatrist for consultation (access available only for students, with a UHS referrel) or to Counseling and Psychological Services (or other appropriate resource) for counseling
It is recommended that students and other patients make an appointment with a UHS clinician and continue to see him/her. Although patients may change clinicians at any time, seeing the same clinician allows patients to develop a relationship and helps ensure quality care.
