State of Michigan Reproductive Biology Annual Meeting

Reproductive Biology in the State of Michigan is marching forward with the expansion of the programs at Michigan Sate University (MSU), University of Michigan (UofM) and Wayne State. This is complemented with several major grants that have been awarded to several of our faculty. The U54 Specialized Cooperative Centers Program for Reproductive and Infertility Resarch (MSU - Fazleabas and Leach), P01 on Prenatal Programming (UofM - Padmanabhan) and the RMN (UofM - Christman and Wayne State - Diamond). Thus this is an opportune time to meet and exchange ideas and discuss opporutnities for collaborations. A one day meeting in Grand Rapids on Friday, May 21st 2010 at the Van Andel Institute was well attended by faculty from all three institution. The agenda (PDF) was an overiw of each of the programs in the reproductive sciences at each insitution and all three institution and the future direction of the program as it relates to growth and opportunities. Dr. Lou DePaolo, Director of the Reproductive Sciences Branch at NICHD attended the daylong metting and gave some insights from an NIH perspective.
