2007 Pilot Program in Chemistry

July 2 - Flying to the USA

July 2 - A long day. You start and end on the same day... but that day is many hours and about 13 time zones long.
July 2 - Arrived safely to Detroit Metro airport.
July 2 - Driving along the highway from Metro Airport to Ann Arbor - about 30-40 minutes.
July 2 - Arrival at the Oxford Housing complex.

July 3, 2007 - Here is a picture of the UM campus on the day the students arrived. This is the southwest corner of the chemistry complex.
July 3, 2007 - Here is moving toward the southest corner of the complex of chemistry buildings.
July 3, 2007 - Heading to lunch with Professor Pecoraro and some representatives of the research groups where the students will be working.

July 4, 2007 - Oxford Housing sits at one end of the University of Michigan arboretum - a nice place to go for a walk.
July 4, 2007 - Picnic and sports with the other undergraduate research students on the July 4th holiday.
July 5, 2007 - A typical family home near the place where the student housing is located.
