June 29 - About a kilometer to the east of campus (right along
the same road as the Chemistry building) is the Wudaokou area.
Located in an area active with universities, there is a strong
international presence. Here is a popular hang-out called "Lush."
June 29 - Lunchtime at "Lush."
June 29 - The rains have cleared the skies over Beijing just
a little bit. Here is a shot from on campus.
June 29 - One of the on-campus cafeterias that has become popular
with the students.
June 29 - A guy was selling this puppy because after he bought
it for his girlfriend, they found out the apartment would not allow
it.
June 30 - From Brian: "On Saturday we ate a delicious
lunch. At one of the stations, I
picked out raw meat and they grilled it up for me with black pepper,
wine, and oils, and it was the best meat thus far on the trip."

July 1- Today's guest photographer is Helen, from the Joint
Institute.
These are some of PKU's "wandering cats." They
eat pretty well each day, because PKU has a special "Wandering
Cats Society", members of this society regularly feed
the cats and take care of them. They donot fear people and
once you get there, they will come up to you and lie on your
foot.

July 3 - At the bus stop
July 3 - The new Chemistry building - opening soon
July 3 - Negotiating over a new microwave for the lab
July 3 - A brief movie of Tiffany (recording), Justin and Brian,
ordering lunch at their favorite cafeteria
July 4 - "Last night we went out to a Japanese restaurant with
some other kids
from UM and some people from other schools too. We got one of those
little rooms where you take your shoes off and sit on the floor
at the low table... i thought it was pretty cool."
