It's a Dean's Life

by Sara Hickman, MBA1

What does a dean do for fun? When time and Ann Arbor weather permit, Dean White takes a picnic to Gallup Park, goes for a bike ride out Huron River Drive to Dexter and back, or jogs anywhere. For cultural pursuits he enjoys events at Hill Auditorium and the Power Center, or just watching a video at home. Should he seek a change of scenery, he heads Chicago, Toronto, Saugatuck or Harbor Springs for the weekend.
Having lived in the area for fifteen years, Dean White can be considered an expert on local restaurants. His favorites include Miki for Japanese food, Casey's for soup and a hamburger, or The Common Grill in Chelsea for the seafood of the day. Although he comments that he doesn't "hang out much these days,"with warmer weather and another year winding down he will, hopefully, have some well-deserved rest and relaxation before the next academic year hits.
