On Saturday morning, April 1, B-school students and members of the Ann Arbor community gathered at Gallup Park to participate in the inaugural Michigan B-School Run for Housing. The number of registered runners totalled 177 for the five-k kilometer run, which raised over $1,200 for the MBS Habitat for Humanity Project. The Project is committed to raising $45,000 to fund the construction of a home in Ann Arbor. The home will be built in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity of Huron Valley.

Pete Feldman, MBA1, raced home in first place overall with a time of 17:02. Corey Brinkema, MBA1, was the next finisher at 17:20. In the women's division, Heidi McAdams of Ann Arbor led the pack at 19:51 while Peggy Crook, MBA2, took the honor of being the fastest B-school woman.

The race was made possible by the support of the administration, the assistance of the Ann Arbor Track Club who handled the timing and results, and the volunteers who helped plan and organize the event. Race organizers have committed to making this an annual event and would like to expand the number of runners to 300 next year.
