Greetings and welcome to the Friends of the Michigan Union web site. Our hope is to reconnect many of our former life members and all University of Michigan graduates and friends with the current happenings in the Michigan Union. As one of the oldest and most respected college unions, the Michigan Union is more than just bricks and mortar – it is full of history and countless stories of students who walked in as scared freshmen and walked out as true leaders. It is these stories, and the lives that the Michigan Union has touched over the years, that make celebrating this building so significantly important. What's New
Fall 2007 marked the inauguration of the Friends of the Michigan Union at the University of Michigan. Our first Board of Directors meeting was held Saturday, September 29th with a follow-up meeting on December 1st. The wheels are finally beginning to turn. These meetings were the first official steps toward getting the Friends of the Michigan Union organization off the ground. Check back often for more updates including the much anticipated Michigan vs. Michigan State 2008 tailgate coming next October.
