Our project will explore the differences in movement between a subject using a NordicTrack ski machine versus a person cross-country skiing. We will look at the differences in range of motion at the hip and ankle joints. We want to find out if the NordicTrack machine efficiently simulates cross country skiing.
To pick our subject, we will be using a skilled cross-country skier so that the mechanics of the motion will be correct. We will use a laterally angled camera.
